An unexpected place to sit

I kind of feel like sofa tables are a waste of space. I never know what to set on them to make them pretty but also keep them functional; and then if they look too functional they end up looking junky. I always default with a ridiculous amount of picture frames that as my husband says "looks like a grandmother's house" (no offense to grandmothers, it's just the simple fact that they tend to have a lot of pictures around of their grandchildren...not that there is anything wrong with that...they should be proud...it would be strange if they didn't have a lot of photographs...I'm going to stop talking now).

Then it occurred to me that I could make it a desk. I added a chair, my computer, and a few accessories, and now I love my sofa table. It's pretty and functional. Love. It.
I am loving this unexpected place to sit.

I agree with you on never knowing WHAT to do with a sofa table. I dont really have room for one in my LR so Ive always put mine in the hallway...but still never know what to do:)
My two most favorite things on your new DESK are the photo of you & hubby and the soldered key thing on the drawer pull. LOVE that!

I agree, Amy. Sometimes a sofa table seems like a wasted space, but I love that you have made it multi-functional. Mine comes in handy for lamps where I wouldn't be able to have them otherwise, but in a pinch I could also use it as a desk.
