Art camp day 2: Pointillism and Craypas

Today we found a way to tie together the artistic technique of pointillism and being "like a tree planted by the living water" Jeremiah 17:8. It really wasn't difficult to do. We used the circular felt pads that cover the legs of chairs; you know the ones that keep your chairs from scratching the floor. They worked beautifully because they stuck on the tips of their fingers. We also used round stamps and round pegs, but the chair pads were the best way to create the effect of points.

Then there was snack time...Then we moved on to 2 Corinthians, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone the new has come!". We used craypas to create butterflies, the loveliest of "new life" examples.

And then we kissed on my boy a little...

It looks like the children are having a wonderful time and combining learning about art and God is a beautiful idea!

I've been trying to figure out how to polka dot a chair I painted and I am going to use your felt chair circle tip. Thank you!
