Art camp day 1: Fishers of Men

Art camp is here, and I am fairly certain that I might be having more fun than the kids. We learned about Jesus' miraculous catch on the Sea of Galilee, the calling of Peter and Andrew (and each of them), and then how to blend paint colors to paint the ocean. My pictures were somewhat of an afterthought as I was covered in blue acrylics...I'll try and do better next time.

That is such a beautiful idea! I absolutely have to do that at children's church sometime - in a wide open space with a whole lot of clean up materials!!! ps - Your painting speaks so powerfully! Absolutely beautiful. I am so pleased to have found your blog and am your new follower today! Yippee :)

I have been so excited to see how this week goes. This looks like something I'd love to do (and I just took a high school art class once). What are you charging for the camp and if you are charging money how did you figure out the costs of materials. Did you buy the materials or did you have people bring stuff? Just wondering the details because it looks like such a wonderful idea. Great paintings by the way. I look forward to more:)

I LOVE your fish painting and I think I'll have to try to make one for my home. Beautiful like always Amy! You are so talented and it is awesome that you are having fun doing the art camp with the kids this summer! I spy some cousins sneaking into the fun!
