The dog: an update

This is how we spend much of our time these days. Digging in the dog's mouth. He eats everything. He thinks it his purpose in life to destroy all hair accessories that my girls own, and every ball that belongs to my son. Caroline told him yesterday "stop eating stuff or you are gonna meet your brother in heaven". The "brother" she is referring to is our previous dog Matty, that we sadly had to put to sleep several months ago. Yes it's a weird and disturbing thought, and yes she heard it from me. But through all the annoying that comes along with a dog, we forgive him because of this...
And this...
And even this...
He fits into our family so well because he is weird. He loves the swing and we are not sure why. He gets stuck in it every single time the girls forget to put the swing up high where he cannot get to it; and as soon as you free him from his entanglement, he jumps right back in. Why?

Oh, girl, I am right there with you, rowing along in the same boat. Our lab is destroying EVERYTHING! Honestly, I'm just glad to hear that my dog isn't the only one doing things like that. I get so angry at her, but then the other day, I heard a gruff bark come from her and I looked and a neighbor was walking by down on the road, and I thought...hmmm, maybe she is good for something, afterall. Maybe she will be a good watchdog one day. That would be nice. Fingers crossed!

My daughter just looked at it and said...

Love it! Makes me want to get a dog. Not sure they make them as weird as I am though!

That is too funny! How does he do that with the swing?!? I do not miss puppy days! Then they look at you with that sweet face and you go all mushy! He is a beautiful dog!

That is so funny with him on the swing!! Maybe he's just trying to be like the kids or something. Haha. My poodle wants to sit on the couch so bad...but he know's he can't!! Ive caught him a few times and one time when my husband left him out of the crate while we were at church, we came home and our couches had HUGE holes in them. (leather couches I might add!!) He was not happy we left him! Thankfully, we had a insurance plan on them and they were replaced for free. I thought for sure he wasn't going to make it that night!!

He is so cute! (I know - I can only say that because he's not eating MY stuff.) And the swing thing....he must feel secure in it. Or else he's waiting for someone to give him a big push!

That dog in the swing is one of the funniest things I've seen...especially knowing that it wasn't a one time deal. How cute!

I love your puppy posts.

There really is nothing quite like the love that a little boy has for his dog. It's priceless and precious and just downright adorable.

Our pup is maddening too- but so darn cute that I can hardly stand it.

What are we to do??
