First: Don't you want to see what my cute carpenter is building for me? I want to show you, but my sorry self has yet to finish my craft room, and so for now I am stalling. I will tell you though that this man of mine has indeed outdone himself. Well, I should say he and Ella have outdone themselves. Homegirl comes prepared while working on a project with her daddy...does she not?
Second: My girlfriend and I have decided to turn our love of thrifting / antiquing / crafting into a business. We have officially opened up the doors of our very own store this week. Well, it is actually more of a boutique than a store. Well, it is actually more of a booth in an antique mall than a boutique, and all we really had to do to "open our doors" was to take down the "caution tape" that had been stretched over the opening of the booth to keep people out until all our items had been priced. But we are nonetheless calling it "the store", though it is probably more of a "hobby" than a "business". Can't wait to talk more about that in the future.
Lastly: I learned this week that my girls were using my face wash cloth in the shower to ensure that their heinies were good and clean. They said "oh, we didn't know that that was what it was for, we have always used it for our bottoms". So on that note my friends, enjoy your long weekend and use caution the next time you are washing your face.
This friendship of ours here seems to grow sweeter everyday...I always love hearing from you. Much love to you,

you crack me up... the towel is just classic motherhood. and, on another note i want to visit your booth.
you make me laugh....the SAME thing has happened to me before with my kids...except they are BOYS and they smell far worse than girls, so how gross is that?
can't wait to see the craft room and can't wait to hear more about the boutique or store or booth in the antique store....
Congrats on the boutique! And, if it will make you feel better about the bum cloth, I once dried off after a shower using a towel that had been used to sop up the mess after the toilet overflowed (apparently it had been hanging there to dry). That was several years ago and I still don't feel clean! Ugh, still gives me the chills.
good luck on your "shop"! we can all relate to the wash cloth story, ye Gods!
ooooh, can't wait to see the craft room ~ I know it's going to be amazing!
Congrats on your new adventure. If only I lived closer; I'd stop by for a peek.

I tired to keep this comment short and sweet :)
that would be tried/ not tired.
Oh, my goodness, Amy, I am laughing out loud...let's hope your girls were using some good anti-bacterial soap!
Where is your store/boutique/booth? I'd love to see it!
AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Hilarious!
Well, I'm totally bummed that I don't live near you, cuz I'd for sure want to check out your store! Maybe you could at least snap a pic so we can see it?
And you know I can't wait to see your craft room! Everything you do is fab!
Enjoy a fantastic long weekend with your sweet bums and the boys!
I must know what this face wash is, if they find it irresistible, perhaps we will too?
Waiting anxiously for the craft room! I have convinced Jeff to turn our spare bedroom into a space for me. Hoping to get started on painting this weekend. But I want to see your space first- I need some inspiration!
Good luck on your store...can't wait to see pictures of that and your craft room. I so want to get started on my craft room, but hubby is too busy (honestly so am I), and says it will have to wait until winter.
The washcloth thing is pretty gross, but I think I have a worse one. All I'll say is don't ever look up with your mouth open, when the shadow of a bird passes over you. I spit for hours!
Ella is absolutely precious. I always loved helping my daddy, too. I about died when I read your "lastly" highlight. Hilarious. Your blog always brings excitement to my life. Seriously. :)
Thank you.
Love children and their innocence, what a cute story. Congrats and best of luck on your shop. How blessed you are to do the things you enjoy most. Can't wait to see your craft room, I know it will be fabulous!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and introducing yourself! Congrats on your new "store"--keep thinking of it that way and it may be a real storefront someday!
That is funny! My daughter once told my husband that she used his toothbrush on the dog every morning:)
LOL Amy! And seriously I can't wait to hear more about your booth!
That is too funny! Nice to meet you too. I'll be back later to read more! Have a great weekend.
That is hilarious! Thank you for making me laugh out loud - I really needed that today!
Hehehe! I can definently see your girls looking up all innocently! :)
Little girls can be gross, too? (Inadvertently, of course.) Hilarious!

This is the greatest post ever. I'am still laughing.
They.did.NOT!!! OMGosh - I'm dying over here. I think you're going to have to take a new wash cloth in the shower each time...just in case. ;)
I know so well how little girls grow at the speed of light (and even then it doesn't seem fast enough for them!). My daughter is 10 going on 20 it seems...My son is a very sensible 13. Maybe it's a boy girl thing...I'm not sure yet. Love your wash cloth story...I too have a few of my own..lol. This parenting thing is part instinct..and LOTS of prayer! =) I'm amazed at time that HE entrusted me with these precious little people. Little people that teach me every day...NOT to take life too seriously!!! =) Amen!
JUST found you. I'm cracking up! Ewwwww...how's your face? :)
LOVE your blog, your love our our Lord, your antics, your outlook on life. I will SO be back!
