I am a photographer wanna be. My point and click, click and shoot, take and point...whatever those little cameras are called broke. So then I started using my old camera (the one I had before Ella was born). That was fun. A certain 6 year old threw it in the toilet several years ago and it stopped working. It miraculously rebounded though, and hung in there for about a week. Now it too has crashed and burned.
That is when my carpenter husband told me to go buy myself my Christmas present early. He promises I will have the very box photographed above wrapped up under the tree at Christmas, even though the camera will of course no longer be in it.
I am not totally sure, but I think this is a great "mom photographer wanna be" camera. So now if I can just figure out how to turn it on...I am not joking. Any suggestions? Don't waste your breath telling me to read the owners manual. I refuse.

Wow, and you would think she would just ask her sister...who is a photographer:)
I am soooo jealous!
Hehe, I bought a Canon over a month ago and I haven't even opened the manual... :)
now that's a box worth photographing! read my using your camera without using them manual series. it might help.
Congratulations on your new camera! I hope it's a wonderful investment for you. I would most certainly share my photographic wisdom if I had any. I asked my husband how to take simple photos with his camera. Then I asked how to download them. And that remains the extent of my knowledge. Pitiful. But I'm sure you'll figure it out!
I suggest not reading the manual. You will only get confused and throw it at something!!! Trust me... There is a Training Video from Blue Crane Digital for it that a friend gave me. She said it was great, but I haven't watched it yet! I played with mine a lot. I am a photographer wanna be also! I got the long lens which I love and takes the best pictures! I also bought the big flash to go on top and this has made a huge difference. It is persnickety, but really makes a difference!! Feel free to email me at tomnkatsc@gmail.com if you have any questions. I love my Rebel!
