A psalm worth believing

The same God that knit you together in your mother's womb, and watched you while you were in your secret place... still watches over you today. The same God that knows the number of hairs upon your head, and has more thoughts for you than the grains of sand...is thinking good thoughts of you this very second. Your God knows your path, and hears you when you cry out to Him. Resist the tendency to allow your emotions to dictate whether or not you believe that your God loves you; as our feelings are sometimes false. Even if you do not feel loved, know with great certainty that your Father in heaven adores you beyond comprehension.

Walk through your Monday believing Psalm 139, you won't be able to resist smiling.

Thank you for the wonderful reminder. It's one of my favorite verses!

I used to work for a Christian adoption agency and whenever a child was placed for adoption I would write a personal letter to the child telling them their adoption story from my perspective. My main goals in doing this were to 1) let them know how the decision was made by their birthparents out of love for them and 2) to share with them a quote from Rick Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life. " You are not an accident. Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature. Your parents ,may not have planned you, but God did. He was not at all surprised by your birth. In fact, he expected it.
Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God. He thought of you first. It is not fate, nor chance, nor luck, nor coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment. You are alive because God wanted to create you!" l also shared with them Psalm 139:13 and Isaiah 44:2 I am your creator. You were in my care even before you were born.
I gave a copy to the adoptive parents to share with the child much later should they chose to do so, and placed a copy in the file to be found many years in the future when or if they come seeking information about their adoption.
