Puppy Redemption

If you had told me the day before Matty died that this is where I would be, I would have told you that you had lost your mind. But today, the only person that has lost their mind is me. I would like for you to meet Ty. I think it's critical that I introduce you to him as I am sure he is going to again come up in conversation here. Maybe something like "Ty ate another shoe" or "Ty wont stop eating our socks" or "Ty ate the kitchen table"...stuff like that.

Thank you all so much for your name suggestions and stories you shared. That post has officially gone down as one of my favorites, I loved hearing from you. My cute carpenter and I read through all of them, I laughed and he got scared. Now that our golden retriever pup is here, we mainly just have fear. This little man is proving to be a lot of work, which works out well because we had so much free time before he arrived. We often just looked at one another and said, "It's so nice to never have anything to do". Regardless, he is weaseling his way into our family and I am considering him "puppy redemption". He's not Matty, but he is taking his place in our world and helping to heal a wound...I'll keep you posted.

Congratulations! Puppies are a lot of work, but they are worth it....especially in a few months when you go in to check on your youngest in the middle of the night to put the covers back on her she always kicks off, and you find the puppy next to her, with his paw on the covers, keeping them on 'cause he knows that's where they should be. Bringing our puppy home was one of the best things we've ever done for our kids. (I remind myself of that every time I have to pick up a pile of shredded toilet paper.)

Oh, Amy. Isn't he adorable? I want to hold him!

So it's Ty, huh? Whatever happened to Maximus?

So glad you'll now be freed from the drudgery of never having anything to do. :)

And you know, summer's coming. . . who needs socks?

I cannot resist a Golden puppy! Our Golden is now 4 years old and the first dog we have ever had. LOVE HER! Her name is Oakley. That puppy fur and smell...just makes you want to bury your nose! So cute. Good luck with TY...cute name. Only minus with these dogs is the endless shedding but they are worth it! Nice to meet you.

Is there a puppy cuter than a golden pup! I don't think so...our golden "Abby" is 11 years old now, and still very much a puppy. Even our vet can't get over all lthe energy she has. Keeps us on our toes! A lot of work but she is so loving and always there for a scratch behind the ear.
