Welcome!

Welcome! Are you here visiting from Southern Hospitality? If you are a friend of Rhoda's, then you are a friend of mine! I am honored that you would take your precious time to come and visit me here at Playing Sublimely. If you would like to check out my house tour thing I have been doing over the past several months, please click on 'My House Tour' over in the left hand column to view all the posts related to our renovation, if you would like to confirm that we are insane and weird over here, then please click on any of the other links. You can find a little bit of everything on this blog, but what I can promise is that it is real. Sometimes it's lovely and sometimes it's not, but it is always real and I hope you will leave either encouraged or inspired.

If you are new here, please feel free to leave me a comment and say hello, it is so nice to meet you!

Blessings,

Amy

Came over from Rhoda's, and just have to say, all of your pictures are eye candy. So sorry about your sweet dog. Now, can I borrow cute carpenter for about a year? At the very least, maybe he could train my cute SO NOT THE CARPENTER!

I discovered your blog today, thanks to Rhoda at Southern Hospitality. I have spent most of my work day reading every entry and I love it, love it, love it! Your home is gorgeous and I find myself envious of your talents. In particular I now want to try to dress up my master bath mirror that is a giant sheet of mirror on the wall. I'm adding that project to my list. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hello Amy! Yes, I also discovered your blog today thru Rhoda's blog and I'm sooo glad I did! Your site is lovely and I can't wait to visit you again and get to know you better. Your home makeover is so inspiring! We are in the process of a bathroom update and I hope to do our kitchen next, so I'm sure you will have some good tips!

Visit me when you get a chance!

I am sure u keep hearing this but i have to say it... Your and your hubby are absolutley talented. Your house is beautiful and i can barely stand a second more of all the BEAUTIful wood work your husband has done. Oh how i wish i had a hubby who would do that to our home.He could but getting him to do it is not working.. lol. Been asking for 5 years.lol. Anyways, your not a professional artist/painter? Sister you have natural talent. And your choices of room colors. I love the color in the master bathroom.. i love the walls in your kitchen. I just love the whole house.. I cannot wait to see all the rooms... Yes i am being very nosey! Awesome job you guys! mishelle

Amy, I am visiting from Rhoda's.
I love your amazing home renovation. I can totally relate to living in a house you are renovating. We have bought and restored 3 older homes (and built one brand new one) in our 12 years of marriage. My husband is a banker by day and a carpenter/builder/electrician/plumber/etc by night. :)
So glad I found your blog. I can't wait to look around some more.
Blessings!

Your home is absolutely gorgeous!! Inside and out, I think I originally came here from Tara's blog (between you and me) but I did see you on Rhoda's as well!! We are building in a month or two and really having a hard time deciding on the exterior!! This has helped and I would LOVE your cute carpenter's instructions for the shutters!!! We are pricing wood shutters and WOWZA! :)
